About
I am an engineer from Bangalore, India, currently working as a research assistant at the University of Michigan. I graduated high school from National Public School, Rajajinagar, and pursued an undergraduate degree in electronics and communication engineering (Bachelor of Technology) at the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka (NITK), India. I then graduated with a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering - Robotics specialization in 2023 from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA.
I enjoy conducting science experiments and learning new concepts based on their observations. I find perception, planning, and autonomy in robotics most interesting. I currently work with Prof. Shai Revzen on damage recovery mechanisms for multi-legged robots and have also worked on robotic manipulation around plants with Prof. Dmitry Berenson. I completed my Bachelor's thesis in object detection algorithms for side-scan sonar images at the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR), DRDO, under Sc-‘F' Faheema AGJ. Before that, I worked with Prof. Shyam Lal on deep learning algorithms for medical image segmentation and classification and with Prof. Chandra Sekhar Seelamantula on inverse problems for image denoising and reconstruction.
I usually spend my free time outdoors, either hiking or playing a sport. I especially enjoy trekking and hiking and was first introduced to this during my time in Surathkal, where I got several opportunities to trek in the Western Ghats. I am also an avid food enthusiast and love trying new cuisines and dishes.
